Key Ingredients

Ferrous fumarate (Iron) - an easily absorbable form of iron that does not upset the digestion. Is a key component of hemoglobin which is the oxygen carrying pigment in red blood cells and involved in oxygen storage in the muscles. Essential for the proliferation of all cells especially red blood cells and immune cells.

Vitamin C - Facilitates iron absorption by forming soluble complexes to assist in normalizing iron levels. Important biological antioxidant to protect our body from free radical damage. Blood levels of vitamin C is associated with a decrease of overall mortality. Supports folic acid utilisation in the body.

Vitamin B12 - Essential for the normal function of all cells - cell growth and replication, metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and protein. Involved in the production of red blood cells in bone marrow.

Folic Acid - Essential for healthy cell division due to its function in the metabolism of nucleic acids (RNA and DNA). Activates vitamin B12. Deficiency associated with large unstable RBC (macrocytic anemia). Greater demands during pregnancy and is depleted by the Oral Contraceptive Pill.
Contraindications & Cautions

Contraindications:

Not suitable for those with Haemochromatosis.

Cautions:

Iron is best taken away from other medications and supplements (except vitamin C).

It is recommended that iron deficiency be tested via a blood test before taking supplements.

NOTE: Not suitable for children under 14 years of age (due to low SAHPRA daily Folic Acid level set for children).

Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C): 50mg

Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12): 50mcg

Folic Acid: 300mcg

No added gluten, egg, dairy, yeast, soy, wheat, artificial flavours, sweeteners, colours, or preservatives.
Directions

Adults and children from 14 years of age: 1 chewable tablet daily or as professionally advised.
