GutGard®: A patented herbal extract of de-glycyrrhized Liquorice (low glycyrrhizin content) to soothe and restore the gut lining along the digestive tract. GutGard® features the following benefits: A natural alternative to antacids, a patented extract of Liquorice with ultra-low glycyrrhizin content (NMT 0.5%), a patented process which retains therapeutically important flavonoids (NLT 10%), supportive and effective in managing symptoms of functional dyspepsia and Helicobacter pylori infection.

A randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of GutGard® (root extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra) in the management of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) gastric load. Participants diagnosed with H. pylori infection were randomly assigned to two groups to orally receive 150 mg of GutGard® (n = 55) or placebo (n = 52) once daily for 60 days. On day 60, the results of (13) C-UBT were negative in 24 (48%) in GutGard® treated group and the difference between the groups was statistically significant. The findings suggest GutGard® is effective in the management of H. pylori.

Epicor®: A unique, scientifically studied ingredient of the nutritional yeast fermentate, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. Acts as a prebiotic, to help feed the good bacteria along the gut and is also a post-biotic which works as an antioxidant to help support immunity along the gut lining and reduce inflammation cause by lifestyle and dietary factors.

Glutamine: A specific protein nutrient that is the preferred fuel for enterocytes (cells of the intestinal walls). Glutamine helps to seal and repair “Leaky gut” along the digestive tract, while helping to restore the microvilli in the small intestine that are involved in nutrient absorption.

Aloe Vera: helps to soothe the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and reduce irritation or inflammation.

Beta Carotene: A precursor to Vitamin A, an antioxidant that works closely with zinc for mucous membrane healing and integrity.

Zinc: Helps repair mucous membranes and supports immunity along the gastrointestinal tract.

Ingredients: per 5gms

GutGard® Glycyrrhiza glabra equivalent to Liquorice dry root: 150mg

Epicor ® Yeast fermentate (from Saccharomyces cerevisiae): 250mg

Glutamine: 2000mg

Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera): 500mg

Zinc (from zinc amino acid chelate): 7.5mg

Beta Carotene: 1000IU

*In a base of xanthan gum, colloidal anhydrous silica, maltodextrin, beetroot powder, natural sweetener, natural colour, and natural flavours.

Adults and teens, from 13 years: Take 5g (equal to 2 level metric teaspoons) with 125 mls of water, once daily or as professionally advised.

Children 6 -12 years: Take 2.5g (equal to 1 level metric teaspoon) once daily. 

Measure out the dosage using a metric teaspoon and mix it into a paste first, to help it dissolve in water.
